HELPING YOU PUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH FIRST

PROVIDING A SYMPATHETIC EAR OR HUG

The COVID-19 pandemic was especially hard on senior adults, who experienced social isolation and loneliness more than most other groups of people.

We offer several services to our seniors to help alleviate these concerns, such as telephone reassurance and friendly visits. We have staff and volunteers that are willing to check in with you via phone or a home visit. Please contact us to find out how to get involved in these programs.

We can also help fill out forms and applications and make phone calls on your behalf. We focus on helping you resolve issues in your life and relieve temporary stress you encounter.

While we don't have licensed mental health professionals on our staff, we can help you get connected to local agencies and professionals.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Senior Community Center of Owensboro-Daviess County provides and coordinates services and social activities for seniors that enhance their dignity, improve their independence and encourage their involvement in the community.

We fulfill that purpose by offering activities, classes, services and resources to all adults, who are 60 years or older.
