The Senior Community Center is proud to introduce a new series of adult education classes designed for seniors age 60 and older. “SeniorClass” will include sessions designed to enhance lifelong learning and engage seniors in a variety of subjects. Most classes will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the Senior Community Center, 1650 W. Second St. However, other classes will be scattered throughout our monthly activities.
Upcoming topics in the SeniorClass series will include cooking nutritious meals for one or two; grocery shopping on a budget; real estate information for seniors; healthy living for seniors; legal topics such as wills, power of attorney and advance directives; and much more.
SeniorClass activities are open to all members of the Senior Community Center. Membership is free to all residents of Owensboro/Daviess County age 60 and older. Those wishing to join are invited to stop by the SCC between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or call 270-687-4640 for more information.
